MENTOR has just released a new guidebook for recruiting older volunteers called The Wisdom of Age.

From MENTOR's press release:

"The guide explores current statistics and research regarding this population, breaking it down into three distinct categories and explaining the characteristics of each. The Wisdom of Age has a companion guide for mentors that includes a collection of tools and resources for older adults participating in intergenerational mentoring relationships. This handbook offers support, builds skills and strengthens confidence of older mentors through practical, hands-on applications and activities."

Re: Guide for Recruiting Older Mentors

Thank you Mike. I often get feedback from empty nesters and retirees that 'I'm too old for mentoring' or 'I don't think I can relate to kids these days'. These look like great resources!
