Help! I am the Coordinator of a small rural mentoring program and have run this program successfully for almost 11 years.

My problem: I am feeling stalled in my recruitment efforts. Finding new mentors at the moment seems incredibly challenging and I feel like I need some new ideas.

I have approximately 40 community based pairs at the moment. I have run radio ads and been on a local talk show, tabled at our local farmer's market, asked my core group of experienced mentors to , "Each One, Reach One", postered about on town bullitan boards, left brochures at local businesses, put postings on our town list-serve.

Does anyone else have any super ideas? We don't have many large corporate businesses here in central VT...

Re: recruitment

Wendy, have you written a "template" recruitment letter that your 40 matches could send to people they know? The best recruiters are people who are already involved and who support your program.
