Home Builders Institute (HBI), through a grant awarded by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Programs (OJJDP) under a national mentoring initiative, is soliciting applications from local community organizations to provide mentoring services using HBI’s industry coaching model, Construction-Coaching for Reentry Employment (C-CORE). C-CORE uses a career coaching model rather than the more traditional “friendship” model. A Team/Group model is being used. Under this model, one Coach will be assigned to three C-CORE Members. HBI seeks to enter into a contract with an organization in the local community in each of its 35 program sites (16 during the first program year). More details are in the RFP.
