Mentoring programs part of a broader drop-out prevention strategy may be interested in this grant from the US Department of Education for local and state educational agencies:

Grant: High school graduation initiative - To implement effective, sustainable and coordinated dropout prevention and re-entry programs in schools that serve students in grades 6 through 12 and that have above-average dropout rates or are middle schools whose students will attend such schools.
Funder: U.S. Department of Education.
Eligibility: Local and state educational agencies.
Deadline: July 28.
Amount: $45 million for 50 awards averaging $900,000 each.
