Who is creating videos and how much are the helping you recruit volunteers or donors
H
Here's a web site that I found which is aggregating videos under a tutor/mentor title. There are a couple of videos on this list by Cabrini Connections, which is the program I lead.
Cabrini Connections is a non-school, site based program, where teens each are matched one-on-one with a primary mentor who they meet each week. However, teens can also connect with other volunteers and learning opportunities in small group activities which we call 'clubs'. One of these is a video-creation group that has been in place for over 15 years. You can see the blog of the current group with some videos they have created.
However, we also have one person on staff who is creating videos to show and promote what we do. You can see some here, and here.
We have volunteers contacting us weekly asking to be involved, and we've had at least one foundation find us via our web site and do their research, which led to a $25,000 donation.
So who else is showcasing their program using videos? What success are you having? What ways are you attracting viewers?
Most of all, how can we connect our viewers and create a "network" that might increase the number of volunteers and donors who support tutor/mentor programs in multiple cities?
