Office of Juvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention
OJJDP FY 2010 Evaluations of Girls’ Delinquency Programs
Grant

Mentoring programs and researchers focusing on services designed specifically girls will be interested in this RFP from OJJDP.

In 2004, OJJDP convened the Girls Study Group to examine issues related to the rising tide of girls in the juvenile justice system. The Girls Study Group found that there were few rigorous evaluations of prevention, intervention, and treatment programs specifically designed for girls (www.ojjdp.ncjrs.gov/programs/girlsdelinquency.html). OJJDP has issued this funding opportunity in response to those findings. The purpose of the solicitation is to support evaluations to test the effectiveness of existing delinquency prevention, intervention, and treatment programs for girls.
