The award is for individuals or organizations that have demonstrated outstanding and sustained mentoring and effective guidance to a significant number of underrepresented students at the K-12, undergraduate, or graduate education levels for at least five years. There are two rounds of these awards each year -- in March and again in October. Nominations can be for individuals or organizations.
