I know the Office of Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP)recently announced winners of the 2009 youth mentoring grants. Does anyone know where we can purchase copies of the grant proposals submitted. Thank you.

Hi David, I hope all is well with you. In the past, when we wanted copies of grant proposals for particular initiatives, we have requested them through the Freedom of Information Act. The process is that you request copies online, and a representative of the issuing federal agency will respond within 20 days. (As you know, it is good practice to take a look at winning proposals and debrief failed proposals to inform the next cycle of your grant writing, as painful as that can be!!!!!). Here is the Dept of Justice info page on making Freedom of Information Act requests:

Also, Youth Today has reported on a few of the details of OJJDP's national mentoring awards. You can find some of their coverage at: http://www.youthtoday.org/talk/comments.cfm?blog_id=212
