Class to Class mentoring
Does anyone currently use classroom to classroom programming? If so, how is it structured? Is it directed mostly by the teachers? curriculum? needs? Any input would be greatly appreciated. I'm currently working with two new schools for this programming. Thanks!
It is a concept that works directly with classrooms. More or less one class is matched up with a younger class and meets for a predetermined time (once a week, every other week, etc). Each person in the class is paired with a student from the other class, thus creating a one to one match. A larger number of matches occur with this type of mentoring, and it occurs during the school day. However, the teacher must be fully willing to make this programming work, since it takes out of their teaching time. I was curious if other programs are doing this to find out how their progams are structure. Some are more curriculum based, thus having more buy-in from the teacher. Hope that helps!

Hi Lisa - I'm interested to know more about this concept. Can you explain what "classroom to classroom programming" is in a bit more detail? Thanks!
